about

Melba Mosley, MNT

After 10 years in another industry, I enrolled in Cosmetology school to become a manicurist as I have a love for having neat, glamourous nails to accessorize my wardrobe. I figured manicuring would be the perfect fit for me. However, during my education, I developed a love for performing safe services for persons who need special care. So, post-graduation, I enrolled in a certification program, Medical Nail Technician (MNT), and learned the important safety skills for performing services for these special people. I have become passionate about working safely with them while providing beauty and relaxation for them. Now, this certification has allowed me to gain partnerships with a podiatrist and with medical specialists to perform safe hand and foot services for their patients. My services allow them to be just as manicured as the frequent salon goers, despite their health problems. This field is gently rewarding, knowing that I’m providing services for persons who ordinarily would not be able to go to a salon. Outside the manicure world, furniture restoration peaks my interest. The joy of looking at something that I have restored is simply amazing, just like looking at a clients’ smile, when they see their before and after pictures. I love what I do!
